Product selection – It’s a hot issue within the natural hair community, and it is made all the more difficult when it comes to making the right product choices for a little one.
It’s no secret that product selection can be made easier by knowing your Afro Baby’s unique hair type, texture and porosity as different products react uniquely on different hair types. With that being said, there are some product lines for little ones that have gotten rave reviews from all types of naturalistas.

March 1, 2018Hello,
I have a 6months old baby whose hair is really full and curly. I’m finding it difficult to know which baby product to use for her being that we are based in Canada. The most popular ones are Cantu for Kids, Eden for Kids and Curly. Not sure if there are suitable since she is a baby and they state kids.
Thank you and looking forward to your reply.

September 29, 2018I’m in the same boat as you…my son is 8 months old and EVERYTHING out there is for kids. It’s hard finding something for “babies”

October 28, 2019Regular moisturizing, plenty of protective styles and regular deep conditioning are keys to stopping dryness. Once you get the chronic dryness under control, she should begin retaining length. This article on deep conditioning should help: https://myafrobaby.com/how-when-and-why-to-deep-condition-your-childs-natural-hair/

December 10, 2018Hi I have a 15month old with very dry, brittle hair. Does not keep any moisture at all.
I’m presently using homemade mixture of vaseline and olive oil, along with Shea Moisture kids collection ( shampoo and leave in conditoner)
The soft baby hair texture changed shortly after 12months along with hair breakage ++
PLEASE let me know any suggestions you may have regarding products that could help.
Thanks so much?

July 14, 2018These reviews seem very skewed. Smells are not as important as the results of the product on the kids hair. Very biased, just because a company send free stuff, doesnt mean the product works.
